upstream closed the bug with this comment:
"I cannot reproduce this on nautilus 3.6. It works as expected: custom icons set
on the target folder subfolders are shown when I open the symlink.
It's worth noting that nautilus now opens the target path when a symlink is
double-clicked. But even if I manually enter the symlink path into the location
entry, the custom icons are shown as expected."
since we have 3.6 in raring, closing the bug
