Public bug reported:

On my HP Pavilion dm1 with 12.04 up to date, I can not use the display
switcher hotkey (on F4 key) to use an external monitor or a projector.

Even when I plus a VGA cable, nothing happens. I have to go into the
"displays" settings in order to manually turn on the second dispay and
disable the first one.

When I press the hotkey, the launcher reveals momentarily with the
numbers over the icon, as holding the super key would do. However, this
happens when I press the key once.

Other hotkeys like volume or brightness work completely fine.

If I do an acpi_listen, I just get the single letter "p" in the terminal
when I press the hotkey.
