I' ve this issue since kernel 3.8.0-1 (at the moment the 3.8.0-0 allows
ethernet connection without any issue) :
if I plug in an ethernet cable, nothing appends ("cable unplugged" in
network manager Gnome applet). If I put "on" instead of "auto" in the
file :
/sys/devices/pci0000:00/<number of ethernet pci port>/power/control
then the ethernet connection begins immediately and succeeds.
Wifi works flawlessly in any 3.8 kernel.
