FWIV, same problem here on a MacBookPro 8.2. Dual video cards: integrated intel and external AMD 6490M. Booting via refind (uefi mode). I disable on boot the AMD card and set some parameters for i915via grub config, but still kernel 3.5.0-27 halts with blank screen. Last tested good version: 3.5.0-26
