Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.17-6-686
I have a biostar nf325-a7 64bit motherboard with a nforce3 chipset, and
any time i try to copy data to a usb hard drive the data is corrupted
during transfer. the external drive is not malfunctioning, i have tested
it on other 32bit & 64bit computers and it works fine, it also works
fine on this computer in windows. however if i disable the ehci_hcd
module with sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd it will transfer the data just
fine but it is unbearably slow because it is using usb1.1. this same
problem occurs when using breezy, dapper, and edgy. i was told that this
is a common bug on 64bit computers but should be fixed in edgy, is there
a known workaround to fix this bug or am i going to be stuck using
usb1.1.
** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
