Public bug reported:
sudo apt-get install laptop-mode-tools just sat and waited trying to start
laptop-mode-tools. Found this in /var/log/syslog:
May 2 08:31:46 tiso laptop-mode: Warning: Configuration file
/etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/board-specific/*.conf is not readable, skipping.
May 2 08:31:51 laptop-mode: last message repeated 4 times
After creating the missing /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/board-specific
directory the service was able to start and apt-get -f install resolved
the installation.
