On the one hand, this is easily fixable by simply adding this:

requires: package.name == 'python-gi'

to the job description.  That's the 'Nuke'em from orbit' option.

The more sane but difficult option would be to add code to the test to
determine if we're in KDE or Unity/Gnome3/Whatever and have separte
routines for each.

This would affect both graphics/resolution and graphics/resoution-
minimum.
