Public bug reported:
This bug is not critical, I will find a workaround, but if it is worth
it to anyone else to solve, I would love to find its solution.
It seems on my Dell Latitude D430 that when installing Precise, then
installing Lubuntu-desktop, then logging out then in to lxde and
uninstalling Unity, after rebooting I get an error with the xserver
saying it is in low graphics mode and asking if I would like to
reconfigure, among other options, but when choosing to reconfigure, it
does nothing. Last time I tried this (today) I exported the failsafeX
long file, but lost it before saving it to disk, so I can't upload it.
If I try this again I will be sure to save it and upload it. The way I
did this was:
(logging into Unity for the first time)
sudo apt-get install lubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get remove unity* && sudo apt-get autoremove && sudo apt-get update
sudo reboot
I had this machine running before on lubuntu without unity.
