This bug also affects me on an HP ENVY 1225dx. The wifi button worked
fine in the 3.5 kernels on 12.04 & 12.10. Unfortunately, it no longer
works on kernels newer than the 3.5 series. (3.8 with raring, 3.9
upstream).
