Few hours ago a new mainline kernel (3.9.1) was released, so I tested
3.9.1 instead....
RESULT : It works correctly !

Timing buffered disk reads: 168 MB in 3.01 seconds = 55.77 MB/sec
/dev/sdb:
Timing cached reads: 920 MB in 2.00 seconds = 459.88 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 226 MB in 3.02 seconds = 74.82 MB/sec
