Thanks everyone, for the verification that the 3.8.0-20.31 kernel
(a.k.a. "3.8.0-20-generic #31-Ubuntu") fixes the problem. This bug is
now resolved.
@Adrian, my expectation is that 3.8.0-20.31 should be working for you
also. If that's not the case, please contact me directly.
@Richard, the audio issue you mentioned isn't likely related to this
issue. If you're still experiencing a problem with it, please file a
separate bug report.
