3) after "cvs login", "cvs checkout ." , etc..
4) after "cvs login", a "cvs checkout ." gives:
Fatal error, aborting.
cvsd: no such system user
This is a bug in version 1.0.22 of cvsd corrected in version 1.0.23 (1.0.24
available since 2012-06-02).

Another problem: repository directory has wrong ownership (root:root) .
The initial script should change the ownership to cvsd:cvsd .
