Do you happen to know if there is a specific event that causes the crash? Does connecting/removing an external device cause it, or is it entirely random?
Also, just to be sure this is a regression, can you test the 3.0 kernel that was shipped with Oneiric(This requires installing the linux-image .deb just like for the mainline kernel): http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.0-oneiric/ If it's confirmed that this doesn't happen in the 3.0 kernel, I can perform a kernel bisect to identify what commit introduced this regression. ** Tags added: precise quantal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1177940 Title: Ubuntu 13.04 (and same problem with 12.04) crashes randomly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1177940/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
