Preset categories files (loaded when creating a new wallet) and example file (see http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mdoyen/homebank/main/files/head:/data/datas/ ) still isn't included into Debian/Ubuntu homebank packages :( These files should be included into homebank-data deb package (/usr/share/homebank/datas/ folder)
