Public bug reported:
When rebooting Ubuntu 20060831.1 (Knot 2) on i386 and amd64, there was
previously a graphical progress display. Now, the screen blanks with a
red message saying:
System is restarting, please wait
Then, the non-graphical messages about the applications being shutdown
proceeds to display underneath.
