** Description changed: In Ubuntu 12.10 and earlier, two finger scrolling with the cursor over the Launcher allowed to move the column of icons and reach those below the bottom edge of the screen. It was especially useful on smaller screens (like my 13.3" laptop) with multiple apps in the Launcher (running or pinned). Now, two finger scrolling with the cursor over the Launcher does nothing. Except when precisely over the icon which is associated with more than one window (two or more windows of the same application) in the same virtual desktop when it allows to switch between those windows. Is there a switch/setting to change this behaviour? - ProblemType: Bug - DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04 - Package: unity 7.0.0daily13.04.18~13.04-0ubuntu1 - ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-19.29-generic 3.8.8 - Uname: Linux 3.8.0-19-generic x86_64 - ApportVersion: 2.9.2-0ubuntu8 - Architecture: amd64 - CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' - Date: Sat Apr 27 15:48:23 2013 - MarkForUpload: True - ProcEnviron: - PATH=(custom, no user) - XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> - LANG=en_US.UTF-8 - SHELL=/usr/bin/zsh - SourcePackage: unity - UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + ---------------- + Desired solution: + + - The 'window switching using the mouse wheel when the cursor is over a + Launcher icon' should only be triggered by the mouse wheel, and should + not be triggered by a two-finger trackpad gesture. + + - Performing a two finger scroll gesture on a trackpad when the cursor + is over the Launcher should move the Launcher vertically.
