Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: restricted-manager
I have a compaq v3000z with an nvidia 6150 [C51] video card that
restricted-modules doesn't seem to think is an nvidia card. Info about
my card:
$ lspci -nvv -s 00:05.0

$ cat /sys/devices/pci0000\:00/0000\:00\:05.0/modalias
pci:v000010DEd00000244sv0000103Csd000030B5bc03sc00i00
but searching for the first part of that string in the *.restricted file
proves fruitless:
$ cat /var/cache/restricted-manager/2.6.22-8-generic.restricted | grep
pci\:v000010DEd000003F
$
Looking at /var/cache/restricted-manager/2.6.22-8-generic.restricted, is
there any particular reason it doesn't just use the 'alias:' llne from
modinfo, which if used -would- have matched this string?
$ modinfo nvidia | grep alias:
alias: char-major-195-*
alias: pci:v000010DEd*sv*sd*bc03sc02i00*
alias: pci:v000010DEd*sv*sd*bc03sc00i00*

Not sure who controls the *.restricted file, so I'm filing under
rstricted-manager for now. Please move to linux-restricted-modules if
need be.
