@ Mozaic (mozaic) : 1. VLC handles webM very well, I just used the default configuration, which is h264. And efterall, I think a screencast is useless here (you didn't understand my point). 2. I made a spreadsheet, slighly different from what you suggested, but I think it proves my point. 3. I use XFCE.
Some explanation : a friend of I wrote a text using LO under MacOS (jeje.odt), and made a screenshot of it. Then, he sent it to me, and I opened it with LO three times : 1. Vanilla LO from the repo, no added font. 2. I installed Libertine from the repo. 3. I uninstalled the font from the repo and installed the one from the website instead. Each time I took a screenshot. I then made a spreadsheet with writer (report.odt) so it's easy to compare the four screenshots. So, as I said before, the situation is worse than the bug description says. I quote : "We need to download the package in software-center". Well, this is not a valid workaround because the Libertine in the repo is not the one from the website. ** Attachment added: "bug-libertine.tar.gz" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fonts-linuxlibertine/+bug/969123/+attachment/3678344/+files/bug-libertine.tar.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/969123 Title: Ubuntu should have Linux-Libertine by default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fonts-linuxlibertine/+bug/969123/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
