Bluetooth A2DP output to the Sony DR-BT21G was working fine on ThinkPad Egde
E330 in Ubuntu 11.10 and works now in 12.04.2 for me after an upgrade. It uses
the Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 + High Speed Adapter
(http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/catalog/component/usb/8087:07da/). I was
following
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1464189&p=9511043#post9511043 on how
to configure Bluetooth in 11.10. Although I have 2 issues:
1. Default Bluetooth manager (bluetooth-applet from gnome-bluetooth) cannot
connect to the headset correctly. So I use Blueman and switch the audio source
through the "gnome-control-center sound". Some applications like totem require
switching the source with PulseAudio Volume Control.
2. The output is very sensitive. If you put a hand between the device and the
headset, the sound stops. This is not the case for streaming A2DP from my cell
phone, so it's definitely a PC issue. The same was happening on the different
ThinkPad Edge, so possibly it's a Linux issue (not hardware).
a2dp skips terribly

Audio output on Bluetooth headset is choppy

Current versions:
kernel: 3.2.0-43-generic #68-Ubuntu SMP.
gnome-bluetooth: 3.2.2-0ubuntu5
blueman: 1.23-0ubuntu2.1
gnome-control-center: 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu0.11
pavucontrol: current version is 0.99.2-1build1
