Ubuntu better. I suspect you have another installation of Octave
interfering with your upgrade. Please answer these questions:
* What is the output of the command "which octave" at the terminal?
* If you see "/usr/local/bin/octave", does deleting or moving this second
Octave out of the way fix the problem?
This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
