Same error here with fresh install Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 today. sudo apt-get update && sudo dist-upgrade always return with error E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) sudo touch /usr/share/fonts and sudo apt-get -f install the same. I'll attach the output of sudo apt-get update && sudo dist-upgrade and sudo touch /usr/share/fonts && sudo apt-get -f install.
