Dave, did you do anything with xorg or the module to get it to recognize
as "ETPS/2 Elantech ETF1059 Click-Pad"?

I'm using the same dkms module via psmouse-elantech (archlinux aur). However, 
no matter what I do, it will still come up as:
Virtual core pointer                id=2    [master pointer (3)]
       - Virtual core XTEST pointer                 id=4   [slave pointer (2)]
       - PS/2 Elantech ETF1059 Click-Pad     id=11 [slave pointer (2)]
