I moved the drive and sas controller to another system, just to make sure there wasn't something wrong with the machine itself that I was testing on.
I got the same results as before once the installer finished up and the server tried to boot again. I definitely have an 'ubuntu' entry in my efi boot menu, but we fail to boot the OS. The EFI boot entry on both machines does seem to have a path to grubx64.efi. For example, in my latest attempt, this is what I see if I look at the device path for the ubuntu EFI menu entry: Device Path: HD(1, GPT, 3F0BA7A2-B80C-46BF-8E22-7559F9251FFD, 0x100, 0xE500)/\EFI\ubuntu\grubx64.efi -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1065281 Title: Installer crashed when trying to partition 4k/4k sector hard disks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/dell-poweredge/+bug/1065281/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
