Hi Christopher, I'll have to download Raring. Soon as I do, I'll report back.
In the meantime, I've been having nothing but trouble with XScreensaver ever since installing the AMD Catalyst Control Center (ATI drivers). The first symptom was that the login prompt (after suspend or lock screen) remained "invisible" (whereas whatever image the screensaver had been cycling through remained visible). One could log in but one couldn't see the login prompt (or window). Matters recently got worse. After automatic suspends, I couldn't even log in. Although xscreensaver continued to cycle through images (glslideshow), I would have to hard reboot. And then matters got worse. After the last hard reboot, the boot process failed. I finally apt-get removed xscreensaver and installed cinnamon- screensaver. I haven't had any problems so far with suspend. So, all of this is a very round-about way of wondering whether an issue between xscreensaver and AMD might be at the root of all this? If I start having suspend problems, I'll drop another comment. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1129411 Title: 1002:9591 Everything gets swapped out after resume from suspend using fglrx drivers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1129411/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
