According to this comment in bug #1098225 
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/broadcom/+bug/1098225/comments/26) it's available a 
version of Broadcom drivers from Ubuntu 13.10 which seems to fix the bug. You 
can find it here:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/saucy/amd64/bcmwl-kernel-source/6.30.223.30+bdcom-0ubuntu1

Note that even if you switch to another distro with a linux kernel
version between 3.7 and 3.8 the problem will persist ;)
