Public bug reported:
Hi,
I have installed TKGate 1.8.7-4 from the official repositories on Ubuntu
12.04.2 32 bits.
If I modify for example the welcome_tut.v, then click on File > Save, I
get the following error message:
"Unable to create backup file '~' ", which is OK because I don't have
the rights to write in /usr.
If I click on File > Save... to save a copy of this file in my home
directory, I get this error message:
"<no-msg: msg.corruptnewsave>"
And if I click again on File > Save, I get that one:
"TKGate detected a problem while trying to save the file
'/home/ann1/etudsv/welcome_tut.v'. The existing file has been left
unmodified and the damaged file has been written to
'/home/ann1/etudsv/welcome_tut.v#save-2916#'. If you have checkpointing
enabled you can try loading one of the checkpoint files. You can use
'tkgate -V' to check the integrity of a save file."
My home directory is on a remote server and is mounted with NFS.
Some menus are also missing when starting TKGate in a french
environment, but I guess this is an upstream issue.
Sincerely,
Samuel VISCAPI
