The description of Confirmed states "Verified by someone other than the
reporter.". I have not done this verification nor has it been done by
the bug bot. The description of New is slightly misleading but a bug bot
by definition is not a human check and I have not thoroughly looked at

information on bug statuses. That page clearly states "Confirmed bugs
require confirmation from someone other than the original reporter" and
"Please don't confirm your own bugs! "Thanks in advance.
