Hi, Could you provide 'dmesg' just after your plug your usb mass storage device into the 2.0 port?
Also could you try to plug other devices(hub, uvc camera, ...) into the 2.0 port to see if it works? >From the 'lsusb' log, there are many devices found in the 2.0 bus, so it is a bit confused that you think the 2.0 port doesn't work.
