I installed ubuntu 7.04 on a friend's laptop. He is also having some
similar issue. In his case however it gives something to do with offset &
backup thing. It happens all & every time. I don't have access to the laptop at
the present but will do the dosfsck -v -n thing tomorrow & report back .
