Public bug reported:
The tomcat7 package uses Java but does not have it as a package
dependency, which is great. I can have use own custom Java installation
(I use Oracle Java from ppa:webupd8team/java) and still get the benefits
of the package manager without taking up space that I don't have to
install one of Ubuntu's standard Java packages.
The maven package has a dependency on Ubuntu's standard Java packages.
Because of this, I've had to install Maven manually due to limited disk
space, forsaking the benefits of the package manager.
Can you please change the Java dependency to a suggestion or
recommendation or else add the Oracle packages as alternatives?
