Since you are still having the issue I guess we'll need to bisect it. Please
test the kernel at:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~bradf/lp1185572/good/
I believe this kernel is the version that you reported was working well
for you before the -proposed update that started this new round of GPU
hangs.
