Sorry, further testing seems to reveal the NIC is effectively achieving
acceptable transfer rates. It only seems to delay a little the first
time after connecting to the AP (apt-get update stood for 30secs or so
at 0%).

Nice job! Removing rtl8192cu from blacklist :)
