Ok, so uninstall bcmwl-kernel-source and try again.  It should work
then.

The newer driver is in 13.04 and in 12.04 in the bcmwl-kernel-source
package.  You may be able to install the packages from those versions of
Ubuntu.  The bug is tracked here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl/+bug/923809  I don't
know why a fix for Quantal isn't out yet.
