it is happneing on my hdd installation too. I believe the issue shown up
after installing gnome 3.8 desktop. I could not try uninstalling gnome
3.8 and test it. KDE and Gnome 3.8 continue to work good. Only ubuntu
default desktop unity is the porblem now.
