there is no system trouble detected, and yes ac97 is selected and there is no
front audio panel.
that issue ( most of the pulseaudio updrades left unconfigured: dialog box
complaint about missing dependencies) has hapeared only with that 0ubuntu8
upgrade; all other upgraded packages does not complaint. So it seems related to
a pulseaudio dependency (ies) or one of its own dependency having issue with
multiarch.
