Further investigation indicates gnome-session-properties (from gnome- session-bin) attempts to display startup applications using the 'Comment' field of the nautilus-autostart.desktop file, which contains no Comment descriptor. The fix for this is to add the 'Comment' line in the nautilus-autostart.desktop file so it is displayed properly by gnome-session-properties. This also applies to a number of other .desktop files in the /etc/xdg/autostart directory.
So this bug should be posted against the 'nautilus' package that contains the nautilus-autostart.desktop file. The same applies to a number of other packages such as ubuntuone, orca, gnome-settings-daemon, onboard, AT-SPI DBUS-1 Dbus, etc -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1185904 Title: No description in list of startup applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-user-dirs-gtk/+bug/1185904/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
