I actually had to find this bug report to find out that I am supposed to do this with plus and minus and I use linux and gtk since 2006...It just drove me crazy while working with xml files in eclipse.
I'v also found this: http://superuser.com/questions/289037/how-to-use- arrow-keys-while-navigating-through-file-tree So one can also use Shift+Left/Right. Ok better than plus/minus (which does not work in eclipse, it tries to search for that character) , but one thing still bugs me: When I'm at a leaf node and want to go all the way up again, in every tree view implementation that would be done by pushing the left arrow key. You would end up one level above the previous node. With the current implementation it simply does nothing, well it makes a sound to tell you that it just will not work the way you expect it to work... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1020756 Title: GtkTreeView keyboard binding are not intituive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/1020756/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
