Preliminary results suggest no fix, but there's a hiccup: [104371.521583] Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = 468697105616 ns) [104371.548267] Switching to clocksource acpi_pm
That's nearly 8 minutes of lost time, with no other indication of a CPU lock. Because of this very issue, my /etc/default/grub previously contained: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="notsc clocksource=acpi_pm" Unbeknownst to me, his had been auto-commented as part of the 3.10 installation. Now that we're back on acpi_pm, we'll see what happens. It would make sense that the tsc issue and my hard locks are tied to the same cause, but as I understand tsc is unstable for Pentium D and should be avoided. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1189565 Title: Random CPU hard locks on Intel D101GGC w/12.04 Server To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1189565/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
