Hi, did you upgrade to 13.04 while it was still in Beta? This situation should not happen in a normal upgrade process. 12.10 has lmms 0.4.10. 13.04 has lmms 0.4.14. During the 13.04 beta 0.4.13 was uploaded (and had some major bugs still, including the issue with lmms.install and lmms-common.install having the same line... which is your reported problem) I would highly suggest simply removing lmms and reinstalling it. 0.4.14, does have a problem with the Midi, though... and unfortunately that patch hasn't been accepted in. Though it is fixed in 0.4.15 (just released) and that will become available in 13.10 once some testing has been done to make sure that there are no HUGE bugs.
