I've figured a workaround for this problem. I've just replaced the crashing binary file [/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu /libmenu-cache2/libexec/menu-cached] from 13.04 with the similar working binary file from 12.10 - [/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmenu- cache1/libexec/menu-cached].
This is kind of "dirty" but it works ok, no problems so far. As I have my own custom net-inst LXDE builds for both 12.10 and 13.04 this was easy for me to do. For other people it might be necessary to get the corresponding Lubuntu 12.10 CD and get the replacement file from there. Note: the bug was there at release time and it still present today. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1134022 Title: menu-cached crashed on Places (Applications, any sub-folder) navigation in pcmanfm To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/menu-cache/+bug/1134022/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
