I am seeing this as well, and it seems similar to what is described in

There's a suggestion of a patch (already in 3.10-rc) that might help
there, I'll try out one of the 3.10 saucy kernels
(http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/) to see if they help
first.

FWIW, I am on raring and this started happening only recently.
