Binary package hint: xchat
By default in Ubuntu, xchat-gnome is installed which is fine, since it's
Gnome based. In Kubuntu, xchat-gnome is also installed by default. I
truly think that within Kubuntu the default should be xchat instead of
xchat-gnome. The amount of users that use xchat-gnome compared to xchat
is quite substantial.
Xchat-gnome is lacking a lot of features that Xchat has and that people
use on a daily basis. It's much more featured rich and developed
quicker.
