It is Ubuntu. And it's not a screensaver that I made. Maybe I wasn't clear I
apologize for that but it is when I go to screensaver under preferences and
as soon as that window opens the system goes to a black screen then takes me
to the login screen.

I have supposed it is Ubuntu until you answer, and made it on
gnome-screensaver package.
Could you check if there is some files in /var/crash ?
