I have a new laptop now but just to verify this bug I fired up my old
laptop, upgraded to 13.04 and the bug still exists for me as well. This
is on the same machine I used when I originally reported this bug. One
aspect of this that is 100% reproducible now is that when the external
monitor is plugged in and I suspend (either by shutting the lid or from
the main menu) then it hangs. The screen just goes black and the
computer is on but no longer responsive to anything but a hard shut-
down. If the external monitor is NOT plugged it then it suspends
normally, 100%. I don't recall this being the case before. FYI, the
new laptop (Dell 17R SE) works great with dual monitors on 13.04 and in
a way I'm glad I had this excuse to upgrade, the new gen machines are
amazing!
