Yes your are right. I changed the mtrr_gran_size and mtrr_chunk_size so no more BAD*gran_size messages occure. But the system still freezes :-(
Is there any thing I can do instead of testing every new kernel version available at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ ?? In the moment the idea with the cpu-temprature is my favorite theory. But I do not know how I should look into it. Currently I put a marker under my laptop so the fan got more fresh air....
