Specifically, what happens in my particular case (I have a first generation Mac Mini) is that the text Plymouth screen will change background colors from cyan to black. Typically this is a sign that the boot process is proceeding normally. Usually some extra text will show up , but currently there is only the text "Lubuntu 13.04" and the loading dots, which continue to change color from white to orange and back again. On June 22, I let my Mac Mini run overnight to see if there was some major slowdown, but when I awoke and turned on my monitor, the loading dots were still dutifully changing color with no progress made, so I did a forced shutdown from the power switch.
This does NOT occur to me with the daily build from June 13. I did not test daily builds from June 14 through June 20, but since June 21, the daily build has not booted properly for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1194319 Title: Powerpc Live CD Hangs and doesn't complete booting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1194319/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
