The bug affect me, too (I noticed a serious slow-down of browsing, after the upgrade). By going on " Firefox > Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Settings > Configure Proxies", i noticed that when I set "auto-detect proxy", everything works ok, while when I set "use system proxy settings", the settings of the manual proxy configurations are used (although I can't edit them, I have to choose manual configuration to be able to do that).
A workaround is to choose auto-detection of proxy. Another workaround (at least for me), is to choose manual proxy configuration, clean proxy fields, and set back to "use system proxy settings".
