Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce (I'm guessing here)
1. Receive an encrypted message Expected result: My password is prompted if I try to open the message. Actual result: My password is prompted no matter which email message I'm currently viewing. If I cancel the prompt, I get re-prompted within 1-120 seconds. As a result, I have currently disabled the enigmail add-on for the account I'm normally using because the modal password prompt is getting in the way. As far as I know, the password prompt is displayed by my GPG agent and the calling software should take the hint to not re-request the password immediately again if I hit cancel. Extra information: I'm guessing that the prompting is caused by background indexing done by Thunderbird. This is problematic for two reasons: 1. I cannot know which message is being decrypted so I cannot delete it, or prevent indexing it (if at all possible) 2. If thunderbird can index it, TB will keep unencrypted index data for the message -- which is highly unwanted because the message was encrypted in the first place. I'm not sure if updating to 1.5.1 would help (http://www.enigmail.net/download/changelog.php#enig1.5.1).
