Thank you for your reply. This issue appears to be caused by Twitter's change in its API on June 11th. The status of Hotot's PPA (ppa:hotot- team/ppa )is a bit unclear but it should solve this issue. I can confirm that the v. 0.9.8.14 in the PPA solves the issue. Ubuntu 13.10 also has v. 0.9.8.14 in the repositories, so I'm updating the bug's description for a SRU. Thanks.
