Joseph,
I tested the suspend/resume scenario using the 3.10 mainline kernel
and it still fails, although in a different manner.
Whereas with the 3.2.0-48 kernel, the T60 intermittently fails to
complete the suspend process, leaving the "moon" LED in a fast blink,
with the 3.10 kernel the T60 successfully suspended and resumed from
both text and graphics modes. However, after the first resume,
switching from the X display on virtual console 7 (vc 7) to the text
display on vc 1 leaves the display completely scrambled. Switching back
to vc 7, the X display is fine, yet no text display (vc 1-6) is
uncorrupted thereafter.
These are the suspend/resume results, using my shell program
suspend_until_tonight (which calls rtc_wake), for the 3.2.0-45, 3.2.0-48
and 3.10 kernels, after 3.10 was installed:
* 3.2.0-45 kernel
o sleep_until_tonight text: pass
o sleep_until_tonight graphics: pass
* 3.2.0-48 kernel
o sleep_until_tonight text: pass
o sleep_until_tonight graphics: pass
* 3.10 kernel
o sleep_until_tonight text: fail
+ Video corrupted when switching to vc1, after resume
o sleep_until_tonight graphics: fail
+ Video corrupted when switching to vc1, after resume
